Overview:
Responsible to assure that the Count Room Department drop functions are preformed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with all applicable Internal Controls and Departmental policies and procedures.
Pearl River Resort Associates are required, on a continual basis to… Adhere to any and all company and departmental policies, practices and procedures.
Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.
Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.
Responsibilities: Works with the Count Operation’s Management to ensure efficient and accurate operations of the department and correct any noted deficiencies.
Maintains knowledge of and perform functions in accordance with established gaming regulations and departmental procedures.
Monitors and reviews all assigned staff members comply with all applicable gaming regulations and NIGA, Choctaw Gaming Commission and Resort minimum internal controls as trained and directed.
Oversees Count Operations applicable functions on any assigned shift.
Assure compliance to applicable gaming regulations, internal controls and procedures.
Assure that associates and the equipment conform to all safety regulations.
Supervise, coach, counsel/discipline, train, and develop Count Room Associates so that they can perform assigned duties effectively and efficiently and in accordance with established Resort policies and procedures.
Maintain logs and other required documentation including but not limited to; drop reports, maintenance records, attendance reports, and associate incident documentation.
Leads by setting a positive example to all Associates.
Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises the daily activities of all Count Room associates.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

AGE and GAMING: 21 years of age or above Gaming property – Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED is required.
Associate’s degree, is preferred.
Two (2) years supervisory experience is required.
Two (2) years money handling experience is required.
Three (3) years of experience in Count Operations is preferred.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents, such as technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Essential responsibilities include moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least seventy-five (75) pounds, and able to walk, and stand for 100% of assigned shift.
Maneuver and transport coin bags (weighing 30 pounds) from count room, vaults, etc.
with or without mechanical aids.
Push or pull and maneuver carts (full 1000 pounds; empty 200 pounds).
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud.
When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke.
Works in a highly secure environment and is subject to Internal Controls and procedures supporting the security of the company assets.
Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
