Overview: Responsible for accurately recording audits daily totals in a timely manner, thereby ensuring smooth and efficient operations in the Hospitality Audit Division of the Finance Department.
Pearl River Resort Associates are required, on a continual basis to… Adhere to any and all company and departmental policies, practices and procedures.
Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.
Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.
Responsibilities: Enters daily information into Audit Report forms, runs back-up reports.
Assists in preparing reports, journal entries, tracks coupons used on property, sorts and records complimentary receipts.
Enter daily audit data/information into the automated accounting software.
Reconciles accounts on a regular basis.
Assists with the monitoring of all financial activities on property, with respect to Hospitality Audit/non-gaming, to ensure that all applicable laws, rules, regulations and controls of the company, the Federal and State Tax Commissions, and the Gaming Commission are enforced throughout the Revenue Accounting Division of the Finance Department.
Organize, prepare and maintain applicable file systems and prepare information for storage.
Ensures a maximum level of company-wide service and satisfaction, in the area of Hospitality Audit Division, is achieved and maintained.
Comply with policies and procedures required by the department and the company.
Maintains the highest degree of confidentiality.
Leads by setting a positive example to all employees.
Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

AGE and GAMING: 21 years of age or above Gaming property – Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED is required, Associate’s degree is preferred.
Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
TESTING: Must score a minimum of 85% on the Basic Math test, achieve a score of 70% or better within 20 minutes on the Excel test and no minimum score on the 10-Key test.
Must take the required testing identified for this position.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience utilizing a POS (Point-of-Sale) system and any type of hotel/inventory system for auditing is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Essential physical abilities are sitting for extended periods, sometimes in excess of 4 hours.
Walk or stand for at least 25% of assigned shift.
Bending stooping, kneeling, pushing, and pulling may be required throughout shift.
Must be able to lift and maneuver at least twenty (20) lbs.
Use of computer and possible eye strain may be required throughout the assigned shift.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud.
When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke.
Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
